CATSKILL, N.Y. – State Police have arrested three people after an investigation into a report on a dispute between a motorist and two pedestrians.
According to authorities, Troopers responded investigated a roadside dispute between a motorist and two subjects walking on Mansion Street in the Town of Coxsackie on Friday. Police say it was reported that one of the subjects displayed a handgun during the dispute.
State Police say they were able to locate
the suspect but determined that the gun was actually a black BB pistol.
Upon further investigation authorities determined the two subjects who had been walking on the roadway had planned to rob a local retail business along with three other people. Police say two of the three other people are minors.
State Police say they have arrested
Virginia Evans, 19, for Menacing 2nd, Conspiracy 4th and Endangering the Welfare of a
Child. They also arrested Denzel Ritzie, 20, and Demetrius Frost, 19, for
Conspiracy 4th and
Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
The two minors who were involved were also charged and given Family Court Appearance tickets for what would have been Conspiracy 4th if they were adults, according to State Police.
