CATSKILL, N.Y. – New York State Police say they have arrested a 23-year-old Catskill man.
According to authorities, they responded to a report of a domestic dispute involving a physical altercation on Monday. Upon arrival, Troopers determined that two valid, active stay away orders of protection existed against Stephen Griffin involving the protected party, and victim of the physical altercation.
Griffin was located and arrested for two counts of Criminal Contempt in the first degree (physical contact), a class E felony, two counts of Criminal Contempt in the first degree (prior conviction), a class E felony and one count of Harassment in the second degree, a violation.
He was remanded to Greene County jail without bail and will be back in town court later this week.
The valid orders of protection were from the Town of Colonie and City of Albany courts
