HERKIMER, N.Y. – State Police say they have arrested two men for inappropriate contact with farm animals.

According to authorities, the owner of a local farm set up a video surveillance in his barn to learn why his cows suddenly appeared anxious and were not producing as usual. The video revealed that the owner's cows were being sexually abused, say State Police.

The owner of the barn contacted State Police. An investigation revealed Michael Jones, 35, videotaped Reid Fontaine, 31, as he attempted to have sexual contact with a number of cows.

Jones and Reid were arrested and charged with one count each of sexual misconduct, a class A misdemeanor. The men were released on an appearance ticket.
