State Police Brunswick arrest three for DWI

BRUNSWICK, NY - On Friday night into Saturday morning, the State Police in Brunswick arrested Matthew Smarro, 24, of Troy; Laurence Campbell, 39, of Johnsonville; and Joseph Cooper, 23, of Troy, all for Driving While Intoxicated.

Smarro was stopped at approximately 10:41 p.m. on Oakwood Avenue in the town of Brunswick. Smarro failed the field sobriety tests and was brought to the Brunswick barracks, where he tested at a .09% Blood Alcohol Content.

Campbell was stopped at approximately 11:30 p.m. on ST-67 in the town of Schaghticoke. Campbell failed the field sobriety tests and was brought to the Brunswick barracks, where he tested at a .14% Blood Alcohol Content.

Cooper was stopped on Main Avenue in the town of North Greenbush at approximately 2:43 a.m. Cooper failed the field sobriety tests and was brought to the Brunswick barracks, where he tested at a .09% Blood Alcohol Content.

All subjects were released to re-appear in court at a later date.
