CATSKILL, N.Y. – A 31-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly breaking into a home in the town of Cairo.
Lynford Irwin, 31, was arrested on one
count of felony Burglary, one count of misdemeanor Criminal Possession of a
Controlled Substance, and one count of Public Health Law violation, Possession
of a Controlled Substance Non-original Container.
Patrols had responded to an address located off Cr-85 in the Town of Cairo for a reported break-in to a residence, which had occurred during past several hours, while the occupant was away.
As a result of interviews and through
the investigation, it was determined by police that Irwin was
responsible. He was located by patrols at an apartment in Cairo, along
with stolen items reported missing from the original residence. At the
time of his arrest, he was also found to possess a controlled substance on his
Irwin was processed at SP Catskill and was then arraigned in the Town of Cairo court and remanded to the Greene County jail on $7,500.00 bail / $15k bond, to reappear in the Town of Cairo court on March 4.
