EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. – A Troy man has been re-arrested on shoplifting charges, according to East Greenbush Police.
Robert Lewis, 39, was first arrested on October 13, for leaving a store with $300 worth of merchandise he did not pay for, say authorities. Lewis was unable to post bail at the time but was allowed to go free on an appearance ticket.
Police say Lewis failed to appear in Town Court on the date he was directed to and a Bench Warrant was issued for his arrest. According to authorities, Lewis was stopped for a traffic infraction early Monday morning.
Lewis was remanded to County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail.
