BETHLEHEM, N.Y.—The Bethlehem Police Department arrested a man on identity theft charges on Wednesday in connection to the Golden Town Buffet credit card scheme.
Bao Hua Liu, 51, was arrested on Wednesday after a search warrant was executed at the Golden Town Buffet on Route 9W in Glenmont in August 2013. After an on-going investigation, it was determined that credit cards were being skimmed at the location.
According to Police, Lie was involved in facilitating the use of counterfeit credit cards with the identities of multiple individuals who were victimized at the business.
Liu was arrested on February 12 and arraigned in the Town of Bethlehem Court. He was charged with two counts of Identity Theft in the first degree, Criminal Possession of Forged Instrument in the second degree, Grand Larceny in the third degree, and Scheme to Defraud in the first degree, as well as misdemeanor counts of Conspiracy in the fifth degree and Criminal Facilitation in the fourth degree.

Liu is one of five people arrested after the Golden Town Buffet in Glenmont was raided over the summer. Authorities say they stole customers' credit card information then used it to make duplicate cards and made $50,000 in charges.
