CPR saves unconscious Greenport woman


GREENPORT, NY - On February 7, at approximately 6:56 p.m., Troopers from the State Police Livingston barracks responded to a reported 20-year-old female not breathing. 

Upon arrival to the residence on Middle Road in the Town of Greenport, the Trooper observed the unconsious victim on the ground near the front door. After assessing the victim, it was determined she was not breathing. The Trooper began CPR and attached an AED (Automated External Defibrillator). 

The victim regained consciousness and was transported by Greenport Rescue Squad to Columbia Memorial Hospital, where she is expected to make a full recovery.
