Cohoes man sentenced in sexual abuse case

ALBANY, N.Y. A 28-year old Cohoes man was sentenced to State Prison Friday after pleading guilty to sexual abuse charges.

Francis Crispell was sentenced to 3 ½ years in State Prison, to be followed by 10 years of Post Release Supervision in Albany County Court.

On February 2, 2013 in the City of Watervliet, the defendant entered a residence of a woman known to him without her permission. While inside the residence, he entered the bedroom while she was asleep and inappropriately touched her with his hand for his own sexual gratification.

The defendant will be required to register as a Sexual Offender after his release the New York State Department of Corrections.
