PITTSFIELD, Mass., - Pittsfield was one of the areas hardest hit by snow Wednesday.
The city took it in stride as residents grabbed their snow blowers and began clearing sidewalks. Plows were on the roads helping to keep roads clear.
Since many schools and businesses were closed many families headed out the door sledding.
Clifton Patrick and his four kids were sledding on the hill at Clapp Park Wednesday. For his youngest son, whose just two years old it had special meaning.
Adrian Valasquez, who just moved to Lee from Ecuador, finds snow to be something extra special.
However, businesses saw the effects of the snow. One pizza shop decided to remain closed, but Cakewalk Bakery and Café was open.
Anita Forzano opened the shop in July and says she's still doing some work on the place. So for her, any business is good business.
Also, the prep of the snowstorm means Carr Hardware on North Street was busy Tuesday. The owner, Bart Raser said business has been up for the last couple of days.
