Search underway for missing man in Vermont

FAIR HAVEN, Vt. -- Vermont State Police are asking for the public's help in the search for a missing man.

David Walker made contact with Vermont State Police on Tuesday regarding his father, Robert Walker.

According to David, he was concerned for the welfare of his father after he had not made it to see his brother, Charles Walker of Jersey Street, Addison.

At 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Robert was believed to have left an unknown hotel in the Fair Haven area after being given directions to the Jersey Street address.

David described his father as 5'08" tall, 170 pounds, grey hair with a "bald top", wearing a tan overcoast, and operating a 2005 white Dodge Caravan.

Robert Walker may appear confused and has recently been diagnosed with stroke induced dementia.

Anyone with information regarding Robert Walker's whereabouts is urged to contact the Vermont State Police, New Haven Barracks.

A photo of Robert Walker is not available at this time.
