ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - The state Legislature has cancelled its session Wednesday because of a winter storm.
Members of the state Senate and Assembly will be allowed to go home after session Tuesday, one day earlier than planned for this week. A legislative budget hearing on public protection will go on as scheduled Wednesday.
The National Weather Service has issued winter storm warnings for much of upstate New York, including Albany. Forecasters predict more than 20 inches of snow could fall in some areas by late Wednesday.
Lawmakers are due back at the Capitol on Monday.
