Albany man sentenced for 'sexually motivated' burglary

ALBANY, N.Y. — An Albany man was sentenced to 2 ½ years in State Prison on Tuesday.
Daryus Smith, 23, pleaded guilty to one Count of Attempted Burglary in the second degree, as a Sexually Motivated Felony, on December 10, 2013.
Smith unlawfully entered and remained inside a residence in Albany. Police say he then entered the occupant's bedroom and intentionally touched and rubbed her leg and other body parts. Smith engaged in this behavior without permission or her conscious awareness on September 13, 2013.
Smith will be required to register as a sex offender upon his release from state prison.
