SCHODACK, N.Y. - The case against David Cassidy for his August 2013 felony driving while intoxicated arrest in Schodack has been rescheduled.
The Rensselaer County District Attorney's Office, Cassidy's attorney, and the judge had a conference Friday morning to reschedule the case due to another DWI arrest in California this month that's complicating the case. It is expected to resume back in
court in March after Cassidy's arraignment in California.
A Schodack Police Officer was conducting a Stop-DWI enforcement detail when he stopped Cassidy, 63, of Fort Lauderdale, on Columbia Turnpike near Miller Road at around 2 a.m.
Cassidy had a BAC of .10 percent and was charged with Felony DWI and Failure to Dim Headlights. The Police Chief said Cassidy "cooperated and was a gentleman."
Cassidy is best known for his role as the character of Keith Partridge in the 1970s musical/sitcom The Partridge Family. He is known for frequenting the Saratoga Race Course each summer.
