Traffic stop leads to drug charges

JOHNSTOWN, N.Y.--A traffic stop on Monday leads to the arrest of two Gloversville men.

Christopher Ward, 49, and Christopher Porter, 29, were both arrested for possession of cocaine and other charges.

Ward was charged with a misdemeanor of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree, traffic infractions of Inadequate Exhaust, and unlicensed operation.

Porter was charged with a misdemeanor of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree, a violation count of Unlawful Possession of marijuana, and a traffic infraction of Consumption of an Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle.

Both are scheduled to appear in Johnstown court on February 19.
