ALBANY, N.Y.-- A Voorheesville man was sentenced to four years in prison, followed by three years of Post Release Supervision on Wednesday.

Jason Rudebush, 29, pleaded guilty to one count of Attempted Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree, a felony.

On July 15, 2012, officers in the Village of Altamony attempted to pull over Rudebush for driving over the speed limit. Instead of pulling over, Rudebush increased his speed and tried to evade officers.

When officers cornered him, they approached the vehicle and could smell the odor of marijuana. Upon investigation, they found a bag containing 500 milligrams of psilocybin mushrooms.
