ALBANY, N.Y.--A Second Felony Offender, Chad Fogarty, 28, of Watervliet, was sentenced to four years in State Prison on Wednesday.
On August 27, 2013, Fogarty pleaded guilty to one count of Attempted Robbery in the second degree, a felony.
Police say Fogarty approached a victim who was walking to work and threatened her with a handgun, took the victims purse, and fled.
Officers responding to the call found Fogarty near a residence on Cohoes Road in Watervliet.
Fogarty was sentenced to four years in State Prison followed by five years of Post Release Supervision.
