Union hockey coach suspended


ALBANY, N.Y.--The brawl between Union and RPI at the end of the Mayor's Cup game led to several suspensions.

With both teams fighting, Union head coach Rick Bennett and RPI head coach Seth Appert appeared in the middle of it.

Union College released a statement saying Bennett will be suspended for the next two games effective immediately. Appert was not suspended.

Several students also recieved game suspensions.

Union suspensions:

Matt Brody – Two games

Daniel Ciampini – One game

Eli Lichtenwald – One game

RPI suspensions:

Bo Dowling – One game

Ryan Haggerty – One game

Luke Curadi – One game

Mike Zalewski – One game
