LIVINGSTON, N.Y. - A community came together to remember a police officer who was killed in an off duty crash.

A small group gathered at 7th Street Park Saturday night to remember 35-year-old William Wrigley, including his mother.

Officer Wrigley was killed early Friday morning in a one car crash on County Road 19. He was alone and off duty when his car veered off the road, hit a pole and came to rest against a tree.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Wrigley was an 11-year-veteran of the force, and a United States Navy Veteran. He leaves behind his mother, father, and brother.

The accident is still under investigation.
