ALBANY, N.Y. – The 54th Annual Center for Disability Services Telethon is being held on Sunday from noon to 7 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Albany on Wolf Road.
Shawn Kelley, a relief pitcher with the New York Yankees will be a sports guest at the telethon, along with Andre Brown of the New York Giants.
The theme of the 2014 telethon is "Kindness." The theme was chosen because of the kindness of the community which has supported the Center of Disability Services employees for decades.
The child representative will be 3-year-old Rory Fay Chamberlain who is a resident of St. Margaret's Center.
Matthew Graham, 23, will be the adult representative. Graham graduated from Colonie High School and lives in a residence operated by the Center. He also works as a Recreation Assistant at St. Margaret's Center.
The telethon will air on NEWS10 ABC on Fox23.
