Albany man charged in Malta burglary

MALTA, N.Y. – An Albany man faces burglary changes after police say he robbed a Malta pizza shop.

On January 23, State Police in Saratoga arrested Eric M. Sherman, 36, of Albany for felony Burglary 3rd.

Police say an investigation into the burglary that occurred at Jimmy's Pizza and Pasta, Kendall Way in Malta on December 8, 2013, revealed that Sherman had forced entry to the business and stole money.

A warrant was obtained for Sherman from the Town of Malta Court and he was arrested at the Albany County Jail and transported to Malta court where he was arraigned and returned to Albany County Jail pending $2,000 cash Bail / $5,000 bail bond.

He is to appear on February 13, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the Town of Malta Court.
