ALBANY, N.Y.--Officers responded to the area of South Pearl Street and Herkimer Street for a report of shots fired on Sunday.
On Sunday, January 19, at 1:50 p.m., officers went to the scene and learned that a male had walked into the Emergency Room of Samaritan Hospital in Troy with an apparent gunshot wound.
A 33-year-old from Cohoes sustained a single gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital for further evaluation.
At 3:00 p.m., officers responded to Albany Medical Center for a report of an additional shooting victim. Officers learned upon arrival that a 35-year-old male from Albany was transported to Cohoes with a single gunshot wound to his upper leg. He also told investigating officers that he was shot in the city of Troy.
Both men sustained non-life threatening injuries and were treated and released.
The investigation is still ongoing.
