ALBANY, N.Y. -- Two men pleaded guilty to robbery charges in Albany County Supreme Court on Tuesday.
Bernard White, 24, pleaded guilty to one count of robbery in the first degree, a felony, and faces 20 years in State Prison, to be followed by five year of post-release supervision.
Uquan Bean, 22, also pleaded guilty to one count of robbery in the first degree, a felony, and faces 14 years in State Prison, followed by 5 years of post-release supervision.
White, Bean, and co-defendants Antwan Uptegrow and Shaquan Oliver attempted to rob Alex Duncan, then 35, in front of a neighborhood business on September 13, 2012. During the robbery attempt, Duncan was shot in the chest and later taken to Albany Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Uptegrow, 36, of Albany, previously pleaded guilty to one count of robbery in the first degree, a felony, and faces up to 12 years in State Prison. The case against Oliver, 23, remains open.
