Police: Two suspects stole about $1,500 from victim at gunpoint


COLONIE, N.Y. – Colonie Police say they are investigating a report of an armed robbery which took place on Everett Road Sunday evening.

According to authorities, the armed robbery took place in the parking lot of the Sons of Caesar Social Club, shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday.

A 54-year-old club member exited the club to smoke a cigarette and was approached by two suspects demanding money, say police. One of the suspects was allegedly armed with a black revolver which had brown handles.

Police say the victim refused to hand the suspects money. The victim told police one suspect placed the gun on the victim's head and the other suspect stole between $1,500 and $1,700 in cash from the man's pockets.

No shots were fired and the victim did not need medical attention, say police.

The victim told police the vehicle the suspects used was a dark color four door sedan, possibly brown.

The first subject was described to Colonie Police as a black male, in his late 20s or early 30s, 6 feet tall, 210 pounds, black dreadlock hair, dark eyes. He was described to be wearing a green jacket. The second suspect was described as a black male in his late teens or early 20s, 5'6'', 150 pounds, according to police. He was described to be wearing large black rimmed glasses, a light gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black Nike sneakers.
