COLONIE, N.Y. -- A Colonie woman has been charged with animal cruelty, after several cats were removed from her home earlier this week.

Seven feral cats were taken from Margaret Tomko's house on John Street after neighbors complained of a foul smell.

The cats were found with a respiratory illness and dehydrated.

Tomko has now been charged with 7 counts of Animal Cruelty, as well as Failing to Provide Adequate Sustenance and Care.

She was arrested in 2010 for having more than 70 cats in her home -- those charges were eventually dropped.

Tomko is due back in court on February 5, 2014 on the most recent charges.
