Two women arrested, charged in Alpin Haus burglary

AMSTERDAM, N.Y.—Two women have been arrested by the Montgomery County Sheriff's office  after allegedly shoplifting at an Alpin Haus store in Amsterdam.

According to officers, the two women, Aisha M. Pounds, 21, of Niskayuna, and Raquel M Cridelle, 18, of Schenectady, both entered Alpin Haus and walked out with numerous items consisting of Northface and UGG merchandise.

On January 15, 2014, the Sheriff's office followed up on leads and were able to track down Pounds and Cridelle. Both suspects were taken into custody and arrested on the charge of Petit Larceny.

A court date for the women has not yet been scheduled.
