TROY, N.Y. - The Troy man charged with stealing bottles and cans from a local Boy Scout Troop is due in court Wednesday.

State Police say 21-year old David Castagnier II was caught red handed, stealing the recyclables from two different bins in Brunswick.

The thefts took place over several weeks, and that's when the troop's Scout Master set up trail cameras. Police say they captured Castagnier in the act.

It is estimated more than $500 in returns were taken.

His arraignment is scheduled for 5 p.m. Wednesday.
