Protestors oppose Iran Legislation


ALBANY, N.Y.—A protest is scheduled to take place asking NYS senators to end their support of legislation threatening to undermine nuclear negotiations with Iran on Wednesday.

The protest will begin at 1:30 p.m., protesters will then meet with the director of Senator Schumer's office, Steve Mann, and the director of Senator Gillibrand's office, David Connors, at 1:45 p.m. to discuss the importance of supporting the diplomatic path forward with Iran.

The protestors plan to deliver three things to the Senators:

-A petition with signatures from New York State residents statewide opposing the Senators legislation imposing more sanctions

-A letter to members of the US Senate signed by 60 national organizations opposing the sanctions legislation

-A statement by 120 rabbis, "Step by Step toward Shalom with Iran", opposing any actions that would undermine negotiations with Iran
