HUDSON, N.Y.—More than 120 Columbia County kindergartners plan to attend a teddy bear clinic on Tuesday.
The program allows students to spend part of their day with doctors and nurses from Columbia Memorial Hospital while diagnosing teddy bears. The children put BandAaids and ice packs on teddy bear "boo-boos", and learning that the emergency room isn't such a scary place to be.
This is the areas first Teddy Bear Clinic and all participating students will receive their own teddy bear along with an identification wrist bracelet.
The event is scheduled to take place at Columbia Memorial Hospital with three shifts of 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 11:30 a.m.
