Schenectady man sentenced for possessing payroll check
ALBANY, N.Y.— A Schenectady man was sentenced to 1 ½ to 3 years in State Prison in Albany County Court Monday.
Clyde Bowles, 22, pleaded guilty to one Count of Attempted Criminal possession of a Forged Instrument on December 4, 2013.
On October 8, 2012, Bowles possessed a stolen payroll check with a forged signature to be drawn on the account of his former employer. Bowles attempted to cash the check at a local SEFCU bank but the forgery was detected and police were notified.
