State Police: Man drove drunk with two children


SCHODACK, N.Y. – State Police arrested a man who allegedly drove drunk with two children in the vehicle.

According to authorities, Joseph Geib, 31, was pulled over on I-90 in North Greenbush around 1 a.m. Sunday.  They say Geib was seen driving erratically before the traffic stop.

As Troopers approached the vehicle, they say Geib smelled of alcohol. They also observed two children in the vehicle, who both belong to the Schenectady man.

Geib was initially arrested for DWI. However, an investigation led to more charges including, Aggravated DWI, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 2nd degree, and several vehicle and traffic violations. He was arraigned in town court and released on his own recognizance.

The children were turned over to their mother.
