SCHAGHTICOKE, N.Y. – A father and son were arrested by New York State Police on Saturday.
According to authorities, Austin Enos, 18, was driving his vehicle southbound on Master Street at an unsafe speed. Enos allegedly lost control of the vehicle and slid into a ditch. He struck a stop sign at the intersection of State Route 67. Enos was not injured in the accident.
State Police in Brunswick say the 18-year-old contacted his father, 54-year-old Harry Enos.
Enos arrived to the scene. However, when a Trooper interviewed the father, they detected the smell of alcohol.
According to police, Harry Enos failed the Standardized Field Sobriety tests and was charged with DWI. As he was taken to the Brunswick barracks, authorities determined his BAC was .11-percent.
State Police also found Austin Enos in possession of marijuana. He was charged with violation of Unlawful Possession of Marijuana and was also given tickets for several traffic infractions.
