Bolton Landing woman arrested for horse neglect

BOLTON, N.Y. -- New York State Police at Chestertown have arrested a Bolton woman for neglecting to provide proper care for her horses. 
Ellen Cantrell, 48, of Brookside Parkway, Bolton Landing was charged on January 7, 2014 with Failing to Provide Proper Food and Drink to an Impounded Animal under the New York State Agriculture and Markets Law. 

The investigation stems from complaints filed by local Animal Control Officers.    
Cantrell was arraigned at the town of Chester court and was released on $2500 bail.
