Albany man sentenced for violating order of protection

ALBANY, N.Y. — A Albany man was sentenced to six months in the Albany County Correctional Facility on Wednesday morning.
On November 21,2013 Robert Jett, 42, pleaded guilty to one count of Aggravated Criminal Contempt, a felony after causing multiple physical injuries to an individual by hitting the victim with a broom in the arm and wrist and squeezing their neck.
In addition to the six month period, Jett will face five years of felony probation and will be required to be enrolled in a domestic violence batterer's intervention program.
