Police: Man hit by CDTA bus in Albany


ALBANY, N.Y. - Albany Police say a man was hit by a CDTA bus on Tuesday.

Authorities receieved a call around 2 p.m. for a personal injury auto-pedestrian accident.

According to police, the man was exiting one CDTA bus and was hit while crossing the street at Hawk Street and Washington Avenue by a different CDTA bus.

The man was taken to Albany Medical Center where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

A CDTA spokesperson said the bus driver involved in the accident is cooperating. He was placed on leave pending the ongoing investigation. 

An investigation is ongoing.

No tickets have been issued.
