WHITEHALL, N.Y. – A 64-year-old woman was arrested and accused of collecting welfare benefits she was not entitled to.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office arrested Marion Nix, of Whitehall, for felony Grand Larceny.

Based on the results of an investigation by the Washington County Department of Social Services and the Washington County Sheriff's Office, Nix is accused of not properly reporting her income while collecting welfare benefits.
