ALBANY, N.Y. – Governor Andrew Cuomo announced changes to the vehicle ban in New York State.
The vehicle ban on the New York State Thruway, or I-87, between Exit 24 in Albany and the New York City border was lifted at 5 a.m.
The commercial vehicle ban remained in effect until 8 a.m.
The ban on commercial and passenger vehicles on I-84 between the Pennsylvania and Connecticut borders was extended to 8 a.m. The ban for commercial and passenger vehicles on the Long Island Expressway in Nassau and Suffolk Counties was also extended until 8 a.m.
All roads were reopened to all traffic at 8 a.m.
