TROY, NY – Troy Police have made one of the largest drug seizures in the history of the department with the seizure of $120,000 in drugs during an investigation of an 8th Street home.
At about 6:30 on Friday morning, members of the Troy Police Emergency Response Team entered 314 8th Street in Troy and seized crack and powder cocaine, and a handgun.
Armed with a search warrant and information that a weapon was most likely present within the building, the Troy Police Special Operations Unit assisted the ERT in the search of the building.
A handgun with a loaded magazine with .22 caliber rounds was seized along with 1.2 kilos of cocaine, 2 "pancakes" of processed crack cocaine, packaged crack cocaine, along with a substantial amount of pure powder cocaine.
According to police, the street value of the recovered drugs is a minimum of $120,000.
No arrests have been made as of this morning, and the drugs have been secured as evidence.
