Gloversville PD attempts to ID attempted theft suspects

Posted:

GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. – Gloversville Police are asking for help from the public in identifying two attempted theft suspects.

On Sunday, December 22, at about 1:00 p.m., Gloversville Police Officers were called to Walmart for a report of two males attempting to steal numerous items from the store.

Store management was able to stop one male inside the store with a bag of DVD's. An employee made contact with the second male just outside the store. The employee grabbed the bag that the second male was carrying.  The male then pulled on the bag in an attempt to avoid apprehension, causing the bag to rip open and the contents, more DVD's, to fall out.

Through surveillance footage from the store, it was learned that the two male suspects arrived in a tan Chevy Blazer, and then fled the scene in the same vehicle.

Please contact Detective Sergeant Mike Jory #773-4569 or the GPD Sergeant's Desk #773-4506 with any information.
