CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. -- The members of Clifton Park & Halfmoon Ambulance have announced that their "Fill the Ambulance" campaign for Toys for Tots was a huge success.
"We had a lot of support from the communities we serve, including a few local companies and organizations who made the filling of the ambulance possible. We started to collect toys on November 25th, and we continued the drive up to and including December 14th, when Santa Claus visited our building," said Supervisor Kyle J Haak.
The agency delivered the ambulance full of toys on December 19 to the warehouse of Integra Networks, at the Albany International Airport, the local distribution point for all of the donations.
As soon as the toys could be unloaded, the representatives from the Marine Corps. League were sorting and distributing the new toys to local non for profit groups. These groups were then distributing the toys to families who may not be able to give a gift if it were not for the generosity of those who donated.
