ALBANY, N.Y. -- Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced that the
2014 State of the State Address will be held in the Empire State Plaza
Convention Center on January 8 at 1:30 p.m.
"Each year, the State of the State Address gives us the opportunity to present our plan for the future of New York directly to the people of this state," Governor Cuomo said. "For the fourth year in a row, we are opening up the State of the State to New Yorkers from across the state by holding it in the Empire State Plaza Convention Center. I look forward to joining members of the legislature and the public on January 8 as we build on the progress from the last three years to make New York the Empire State once again."
New Yorkers wishing to attend should visit the Governor's homepage to register: www.governor.ny.gov.
The registration period takes place from today, December 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, December 30, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. Seating is limited and tickets are non-transferable. In the event that the number of requests exceeds available seating, attendees will be selected by lottery. Guests will be notified of their selection via email by January 6, 2014.
Photography and videography devices will not be allowed on the premises. Guests with prohibited articles will be turned away and no storage or "check-in area" will be provided for such items.
