CANAJOHARIE, N.Y. - A local high school stepped up their security on Wednesday following an indirect threat received by police.
Canajoharie Police say they received a "rambling manifesto" fax from an unknown source that mentioned children.
Authorities alerted a terror hotline run by a State Agency and was told the same fax was known to them. Two other police departments in New York received the same fax.
Although there was never a direct threat to the schools in Montgomery County, security in schools were increased as a precaution since the fax mentioned children.
