SCHOHARIE, N.Y. -- A former administrator of a group meant to help the disabled in Schoharie County is accused of stealing from her own clients.
The Attorney General's Office announced the arrest of 31-year old Samantha Cross, the former assistant manager of Schoharie ARC.
Authorities accuse Cross of using ARC residents' allowances to buy things such as cell phones, groceries and even I-tunes gift cards.
The alleged thefts happened between 2011 and 2012.
The AG's office says Cross tried to cover up the purchases by saying they were made on the residents' behalf.
She now faces up to four years in state prison.
