Multiple burglaries investigation leads to arrest of Middleburgh man

MIDDLEBURGH, N.Y. – State Police Cobleskill arrested a Middleburgh man for possession of weapons and stolen property after a multi-agency investigation.
Eugene Falco, 64, was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, two counts of Criminal Purchase of a Weapon and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree.
A multi-county and multi-agency investigation into numerous burglaries resulted in the execution of a search warrant at Falco's home. Police recovered numerous weapons he was prohibited from possessing due to a prior conviction. The investigation also revealed he purchased two weapons which are believed to be proceeds from the burglaries.
Falco was also in possession of a wood splitter that was previously reported as stolen to the Otsego County Sheriff's Office.
Falco was arraigned in the Middleburgh Town Court and remanded to jail on $50,000 bail or $100,000 bond.
