MALTA, N.Y. – An appellate judge has decided that two votes in favor of challenger Cynthia Young are to remain voided re-electing Paul Sausville as Malta Town Supervisor.
Young lost the position of Malta Town Supervisor after two ballots were voided. The ballots were voided because of writing on the back of the ballot. Young challenged the decision and the case was sent to the State Supreme Court.
The two voided ballots were cast in favor of Young meaning she lost the position to incumbent Sausville by only one vote.
