Homeless woman died overnight in Saratoga

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -  A homeless woman was found dead by Saratoga Springs Police on Thursday night.

On December 12th around 8:30 a.m., Saratoga Springs Police say they reported to the scene of the Senior Center on Williams Street for a report of a person refusing to leave the property.

Officers found Nancy Pitts, 54, lying behind the building on the porch. Medical assistance determined that Pitts died overnight.

Pitts had no permanent address and would frequently spend the night at a number of locations in the downtown area of the city.

An official cause of death is pending autopsy and toxicology reports, however police do not believe the death was a result of foul play.
