Volunteer ambulance member accused of using agency debit card


PROVIDENCE, N.Y. – The Saratoga County Sheriff has announced the arrest of a Providence Volunteer Ambulance Corps. member.

The Sheriff's Office said they received a report from the Providence Volunteer Ambulance Corps. of suspicious activity on the agency debit card.

The unauthorized charges began in September 2013 until December 6, 2013. The investigation determined that Scott Moody Jr., 19, a member of the volunteer ambulance, was responsible for the charges.

Moody is accused of using the debit card to buy gasoline and cigarettes during the three-month period. Authorities say he charged about $600 to the debit card.

Moody was arrested on Saturday and charged with Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree and Petit Larceny.
