COLONIE, N.Y. – Colonie Police are investigating the possible luring of a child on Thursday afternoon.

According to police, the incident occurred on December 12 at about 4:30 p.m. A 12-year-old boy reported that while walking on Admiral Street, off Sand Creek Road by Osborne Road, a male subject in a vehicle yelled out to him and told the boy that he needed help finding his dog.

The boy refused and ran home and the vehicle was last seen traveling north on Osborne Road going towards Albany Shaker Rd.

The man is described as a white male, about 50 years of age, with tan skin, and dark or black hair with some grey in it. He was wearing a black knit hat pulled back so the hair was exposed.

His vehicle is described as a newer model light grey or light green 4 door sedan with a small antenna on the rear of the vehicle.

Anyone with information about this incident should contact the Colonie Police at 783-2744.
