Sheriff: Weather most likely caused serious Kingsbury accident

KINGSBURY, N.Y. – The Washington County Sheriff's Office have investigated a two-car accident that sent three people to the hospital.

According to Sheriff Jeffery Murphy, on Monday around 10:30 a.m., there was an accident on State Route 196.

A vehicle with two occupants was traveling westbound when it slid out of control and crossed over into the eastbound lane and struck another vehicle, with one occupant, head-on.

All three occupants had to be extricated from the vehicles by the Kingsbury Volunteer Hose Company.

Two of the women are listed in critical condition while one is in serious condition.

The cause of the accident has not been determined but weather is most likely the cause, according to authorities.
