Police: 3 arrested in Cairo after allegedly stealing 4-wheeler

CAIRO, N.Y. – Three Cairo residents have
been arrested on burglary charges after an investigation into a stolen
New York State Police at Catskill arrested
Michael A. Greenholtz, 19, Maria E. Santarelli, 18, and James A. Sylvester, 21, for
felony Burglary in the second-degree.
The arrests follow an investigation
into the complaint of a burglary in the Town of Cairo, Greene County in which a
Yamaha four-wheeler was stolen. The investigation determined that Greenholtz,
Santarelli, and Sylvester burglarized a residence and subsequently stole the four-wheeler
from a garage attached to the victim's residence.
The defendants were arraigned and remanded to the Greene
County Jail in lieu of bail. Greenholtz and Sylvester were remanded in
lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond. Santarelli was remanded in lieu of
$2,500 cash bail $5,000 bond.
The State Police were assisted with this investigation by
the Greene County District Attorney's Office.
